What to say/do when dealing with a suicidal person

I have recently come to the realization that many people don't know HOW to react when a person that they care about has either admitted to being suicidal or you have suspicions that they may be. Well speaking from both perspectives neither side is easy. Hopefully these links will help with the Do's and Don'ts of helping your loved one :)

One last thing I must put emphasis on this. Please do NOT do any of the following:

Judge them
Show anger toward them
Provoke guilt
Discount their feelings
Tell them to "snap out of it"

Doing so could push them over the edge.
